Violence towards women is a disturbing phenomenon that exists in every sector of the Israeli society. The lockdowns and economic stagnation caused hundreds of percent increase in the number of women suffering.
As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, I created this installation named "NO MORE TRAUMA" in a street where women suffer daily violence and exploitation.
NO MORE TRAUMA \ Hameretz 6 Tel-Aviv, Israel \ Acrylic on mattress (3\4)
Now on display at the spa entrance of the Mitzpe Hayamim Hotel
As a contributor to the "Love Art, Need Art" event in Tel-Aviv, I created this work as a direct reaction to our government's
terrible handling of the covid-19 crisis, and the thoughtless restrictions which were brought down on the art and culture worlds.
"SODOM AND GOMORRAH"
Herzl 126 Tel-Aviv, Israel \ Oil paint on concrete
"Then the Lord said, The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous"
"and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants".
We live in historically important times, or so I believe. Everything changes and transforms.
Chaos and uncertainty are common both outside and in, inside people's hearts. Changes and challenges are present everywhere, this
is not the world we all used to know.
I believe in our potential, I believe in our ability to make our society more safe and just. For us, and for future generations.
This act was sponsored by EXLAB, New art performances in the public domain by The Lab Gallery. Curated by: Sharon Toval
At the Colombian Embassy in Bangkok
Following the Art performance I did at "The Lab" Gallery a month ago ("INITIATION") I decided to paint Jeff Koons' balloon dog in the street, under the shadow of the corona crisis and the crisis in the art world.
With quick strokes of diluted black paint, without fame, glitter or perfection, because that's the reality now.
